Bruno Bozzer, la Java des Flacons

I met Bruno a Saturday morning during a pause to go skiing in Les Ménuires. I watched on internet the day before I leave where could I stop and I found a website of a wineshop in Annecy-Le-Vieux, La Java des Flacons.

I arrived at 10 am and Bruno Bozzer received me like an old client even if it was the first time I came. The shop is near the lake of Annecy. What a surprise when I came in…  A little bar in the back where you can drink wines and eat little appetizers. This day he opened 20 different wines between 8 and 20 euros to discover wines not so well known. Everywhere around this bar, you have bottles… and the choice of Bruno is amazing. You can almost find everything… I like!
I began to turn inside this fabulous cave, it’s like I’ve found the Aladdin’s cave… after 5 minutes, Bruno came to meet me and we start to discuss about wine… I had invistigated on internet about Bruno Bozzer, he has 20 years of someliers near great « 3 stars chefs » like Marc Veyrat or Guy Martin, so you can not cheat with him. But he is very friendly and we feel he loves wine. I started my thorough exploration and began by « Vallée de Loire » : Chidaine, Dagueneau, Taille aux loups, Joguet…

Of course the “Savoie” is very well represented with the best winemakers of the region (Grisard, Ardoisières, Masson, Quenard…)

After, I looked for the Provence and Corse Wines : again a very good choice, Château Simone, Domaine Arena, Tempier, Pibarnon… For the « Languedoc-Roussillon » : Clos Marie, Grange des Pères, Roc d’Anglade…

The « Vallée du Rhône » is also very nice with Condrieu from Cuilleron, Hermitage from Chave, Côte-Rôtie from Jamet, Crozes-Hermitage from Graillot and Combier or Chateauneuf du Pâpe from Beaucastel, Janasse… I also found Rasteau from the Domain of Gourt de Mautens. And it’s the same for the Burgundy (Roulot, Carillon, Mugneret…) and Bordeaux (from Sociando Mallet to Angelus). So I had decided to stay 30 minutes, but after 1 hour and a half and 12 bottles in my car, I left this amazing place.

Thanks to Bruno who is a wine encyclopedia and a very friendly person. I highly recommand you to discover this wine-shop, bar, cellar, Aladdin’s cave and meet the incredible Bruno Bozzer!!
